Touring around the 3rd biggest country in the world that has one of the most diverse and well preserved history might not be such an easy task. Figuring where to start might already cause too much confusion from all the amazing places you can choose to go. Typically, most tourists would start in the capital, Beijing, where there are many places for tourist to bask their eyes on such as the ever so popular Great Wall of China, The Forbidden City, The Temple of Heaven, and many more tourist destination in and around the capital city of Beijing. However, there is vastly more to see in the China than just the tourist sceneries in Beijing, if you want to see the ancient roots, culture and beauty that China has to offer, take a trip to these places and see a paradise here on earth.

Xian – Xian is now the capital city of Shaaxi Province and is located northwest of Beijing. Xian is known to be China’s ancient capital, the stands out with its rich cultural relics, historical sites that date back to the ancient dynasties of China and beautiful sceneries and sites. Most travel packages to China will include Xian in the tour; this city has been one of the essential places to visit in China. Some of the places f interests in the city of Xian are:

Shandong Province – Shandong province is also one of the rich cultural spots in China; among the best places to visit in the province is Mount Tai, Penglai Pavilion and the Cradle of Confucius. Mount Tai is one of the five famous cultural mountains in China. The Lu state in Shandong province is also the hometown of the great Chinese Philosopher Confucius. Museums and other that is dedicated to the great philosopher can be found all over the city.

The Ancient Shaolin Temple – The popular shoalin monk can be found at the top of the beautiful Songshan Mountains, which is located southwest of the capital of Henan Province, Zhengzhou. The Shaolin Temple was build during the Wei Dynasty. Until now, there are still many Shaolin Monks practicing Martial Arts in the ancient temple. A truly great destination for people who want to see the ancient Chinese culture and how much they have willed through in preserving their tradition in these modern times of significant changes in society. The Shaolin Monks still live their lives in the essence of their beliefs, somewhat that they were never corrupted by time and foreign influence.
